Privacy Policy
- Your photos are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us, advertising providers, or analytics providers.
- The App displays third-party advertising and uses analytics and attribution services.
- Those services may process device, advertising, app-interaction, ad-performance, approximate-location, and diagnostic information as described below.
- You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings and, where available, change advertising consent from Settings → Privacy & Data → Privacy Choices in the App.
1. Scope and Controller
This Privacy Policy explains how Khanh Thong Le ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the iOS application Retouch: Body Editor (the "App"). We are the controller of the information sent to our EXO measurement service. Third-party providers listed below may act as processors or independent controllers under their own terms.
The App does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location when you use the App.
2. Photos and Device Permissions
Your photos stay on your device
When you choose or take a photo, the App loads it locally so its editing tools can apply reshaping and retouching effects. Photo pixels and edited images are not uploaded to our servers or to the advertising, analytics, or attribution providers described in this Policy. An edited image is saved only when you choose to save or export it.
Camera and Photo Library
| Permission | Why the App requests it |
|---|---|
| Camera | To capture a new photo when you choose the camera option. |
| Photo Library (read) | To let you select an existing photo to edit. |
| Photo Library (add/save) | To save an edited image after you tap Save or Export. |
| Tracking | To allow advertising and attribution providers to access the iOS advertising identifier and measure activity across other companies' apps and websites, if you permit it. |
You can grant, limit, or revoke these permissions in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Refusing tracking permission does not prevent photo editing; it limits access to the iOS advertising identifier and cross-app tracking.
3. Information Processed by the App and SDKs
Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and which services are available, the App and its integrated SDKs may process:
| Category | Examples | Main purposes |
|---|---|---|
| Device and app information | App version, iOS version, device model or class, language/region, network information, IP address, and SDK version. | App operation, ad delivery, analytics, security, and troubleshooting. |
| Identifiers | A random app-install identifier, vendor or service identifiers, and the iOS advertising identifier when available and permitted. | Measure installs and sessions, limit duplicate records, advertising, attribution, fraud prevention, and campaign measurement. |
| App interactions | First open, sessions, screens viewed, onboarding or survey choices, editor actions, and timestamps. | Analytics, feature improvement, attribution, and campaign measurement. |
| Advertising information | Ad unit, format, network or mediation source, impression value, currency, precision, and ad interactions. | Serve and measure ads, calculate aggregate revenue and return on ad spend, and prevent fraud. |
| Diagnostics | Crash, performance, response, and technical error information. | Reliability, security, debugging, and service improvement. |
| Approximate location | Country or coarse location inferred from IP address, device region, or an advertising provider. | Consent-region determination, localized service, analytics, fraud prevention, and advertising. The App does not request precise GPS location. |
| Privacy choices | Tracking authorization state and advertising-consent selections. | Apply your choices and meet legal obligations. |
Our EXO measurement service uses a random installation identifier and records first open, session and product events, ad-impression revenue, app/iOS/SDK versions, country, timestamps, and tracking-authorization status. EXO is configured not to collect the iOS advertising identifier from this App.
4. Advertising, Analytics, and Attribution Providers
The App uses the following services. Their collection and retention practices are governed by their own policies:
- Google — Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), mediation, User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Installations, and Firebase Remote Config. See Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner apps.
- Advertising mediation partners — ad inventory may be provided by AppLovin, Mintegral, and Pangle. See the AppLovin, Mintegral, and Pangle privacy policies.
- Meta — Meta App Events for advertising measurement and ad-impression events. See the Meta Privacy Policy.
- Adjust — mobile attribution and ad-revenue measurement. See the Adjust Privacy Policy.
- EXO MMP — our measurement service hosted at mmpstack.com, used for first-party install, product-event, and impression-level ad-revenue reporting.
- Apple — App Store distribution and privacy-preserving attribution such as SKAdNetwork or AdAttributionKit. See Apple Privacy Policy.
5. How We Use and Disclose Information
We use the information described above to operate and improve the App, configure and deliver advertising, respect consent choices, measure installs and ad performance, reconcile aggregate campaign revenue and cost, detect duplicate or fraudulent activity, troubleshoot technical problems, and comply with law.
We disclose relevant information to the providers listed above so they can perform those functions. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or our rights, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising-provider processing, including cross-app advertising or measurement when permitted, may be considered "sharing," "sale," or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. You can exercise the controls described in Section 7.
6. Legal Bases and Retention
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent for personalized advertising, access to the advertising identifier, and similar tracking where applicable; performance of the service you request for core App functions; and legitimate interests for non-personalized measurement, security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and improving the App, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Photos remain under your control on your device. We keep our pseudonymous EXO measurement records only for as long as reasonably necessary for measurement, security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. Local settings remain until you reset them or uninstall the App. Third-party providers determine their own retention periods under their policies and your settings.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Tracking permission: Manage the App under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Advertising consent: Where required, use Settings → Privacy & Data → Privacy Choices in the App to review available choices.
- Camera and photos: Manage access in iOS Settings. You can delete original and edited images from the Photos app.
- Google ad controls: Use Google's ad and privacy controls linked from its privacy policy.
- Uninstall: Removing the App deletes its local settings and EXO outbox from the device, but does not automatically delete records already received by providers.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision. You may contact us at thongintech@gmail.com. Because the App has no account and most records are pseudonymous, we may need information sufficient to locate a record and may be unable to associate a record with you. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. Security and International Transfers
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS for data in transit and access controls for our measurement dashboard. No system is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours and are responsible for appropriate transfer safeguards under their policies and applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in a user's jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the App, providers, or legal requirements. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law.
